Program

One of the most significant hurdles in commercializing nano-enabled biomedical products is navigating the uncertain regulatory path.

On Tuesday May 17 COIN will be hosting a dialogue with the FDA to better understand critical nanobio regulatory issues.

The Roundtable will begin with a presentation by Katherine Tyner, a Chemist in the Center for Drug Evaluation & Research at the FDA. Dr. Tyner will speak generally on nanomedicine issues from a research perspective and how current FDA guidances apply to nanomedicine products.

Dr. Tyner will then join a panel discussion composed of experts in the nanomedicine regulatory space, including Nancy Teague, Executive Director, Regulatory Affairs, Global Regulatory Operations and Medical Device and Diagnostic Consulting with PPD  as well as Lawrence Tamarkin PhD - CEO of CytImmune Sciences a global leader in the field of nanomedicine with the successful completion of its first-in-man targeted nanotherapeutic clinical trial. This panel will be moderated by Don Alexander of Carlyle & Conlan. Read more
